SCoMBA Board of Directors & Staff
president Leslie’s love of skiing and hiking led her to Summit County, Colorado from Los Angeles in 2010. She fell in love with mountain biking almost immediately. Her love of mountain biking was initially not matched by technical expertise but a series of women only clinics, group rides with Mountain Bike Mondays as a ride leader, lots of rides (solo or with friends), and some challenging bikepacking trips improved her skills significantly. Leslie joined SCoMBA in 2015 as Treasurer, which allowed her to contribute skills gained from a diverse consulting career in finance and accounting. She became President in 2024, to execute SCoMBA’s goal of hiring an Executive Director and to help it further its mission to build and maintain amazing trails & unify the community, as well to make SCoMBA the go to resource for mountain bikers in Summit County." |
vice president "Every MTBer should get involved with their local trail organization, whether it's a more active role or being out there for trail days. After all this is why we have the great trails we have." |
treasurer "I took my first mountain bike ride in 1999 and l was immediately hooked. An informal biking group of mine actively supported trail work, supporting over 40 projects with FDRD. We turned out 25-30 folks for each project and have helped build practically every new trail in Summit County. I plan to continue fostering mountain biking through SCoMBA." |
secretary "I started mountain biking in 1993 on existing hiking trails. Over the years, I spent many days working on trail projects to make those hiking trails more sustainable and more enjoyable to ride. I have also seen hikers go from antagonistic to friendly and welcoming of mountain bikes due to our trail work and good trail etiquette. I'm interested in upgrading existing trails & building new mountain bike specific trails as well as forming alliances with other trails groups to ensure that we continue to get along. " |
Board Member As a complement to my career as a mechanical engineer specializing in building energy performance and indoor air quality, I have been mountain biking for over 30 years, with my wife, daughter, other families and friends. We rode extensively near our long-time home in Golden expanding to Utah and other locations across the US and around the world. We started regularly enjoying the Summit County trails and biking community more than 10 years ago, moving here full time in 2023 to retire. In becoming part of the community, we felt the obligation to give back, participating in multiple trail building and maintenance efforts. I joined SCoMBA's board in 2024 to further that service and to help continue, expand and improve mountain biking opportunities for all riders in the area. |

Samantha Streletsky Executive Director Sam grew up in the Boston area playing every possible sport, but spending most of her time on skis or bikes. She lived in Vermont for several years where her favorite adventures included being a volunteer firefighter and preschool teacher. Moving to Colorado in 2016 really accelerated her love of cycling. Sam started working for the Cycle Effect shortly after moving here, where she learned so much about coaching mountain biking, repairing bikes, and riding technique. She earned a BICP Level 2 in 2021. Since moving to Summit, Sam has spent as much time outside as possible- MTB guiding for Colorado Adventure Guides, managing an alpine ski racing team with Team Summit & coaching ski racing at Summit Middle School, and wearing several different hats through the years at Cycle Effect. Sam helped launch a bike match program at Cycle Effect matching a few hundred bikes with community members in Summit & Eagle counties. Most recently, Sam has been the team director of the Summit High School Tigers Mountain Bike team and a bike tech at Gore Range Sports. She is really excited to start as ED and continue to help create fun and inclusive spaces for people to ride bikes, work on our trails, and explore Summit. |
